Linda DeAngelo holds the Kenneth King Stonier Chair in Business Administration. Her research interests include financial distress and corporate restructuring, the impact of perceptions on financial and investment policy, equity valuation, the politics of finance, and corporate financial and dividend policy. She has published a number of papers on various topics, including the role of equity valuation in mergers and acquisitions, the effect of management buyouts on stockholder wealth and reported earnings, earnings manipulation during proxy contests for corporate control, the effect of proxy contests on managerial tenure and stockholder wealth, and the effect of financial distress on dividend policy.
